The nutritional sciences are becoming ever more complex, as new innovations and technology allow access to a molecular world not available for exploration to previous generations. As a result, the technical expertise required to maintain an understanding of the field increases with time. Much of the information contained within this site is therefore technical in nature and may be considered a little dry for the casual or neophyte reader. However, the information contained within the nutritional literature is important and belongs in the public domain. There is therefore a need for non-technical articles that explain the current paradigm in a simple and colloquial manner. Those readers who wish to learn about nutrition but find that they do not yet have the level of knowledge to follow some of the more scholarly articles may wish therefore to explore this non-technical section first. In addition, such readers are directed towards the Armchair Nutritionist section, for a philosophical discussion of matters nutritional.
